"To be trusted by my clients to capture what is most important to them... that is the highest honor."
I believe our memories are our most precious possessions- so what we capture, how we capture it & how we store it, are critical parts of the process. I am honored that my clients entrust me to help them with their memories. My ultimate goal is to help my clients collect a lifetime of beautiful moments & also help them find ways to keep those moments alive for them everyday. I am a mom of three, so I understand very well the complexities of juggling schedules & activities, but I also see my clients' joy everyday when they see their beautiful moments frozen in time. I love what I do- not just because I love photography and working with people, but because I see the power of a photograph to open our eyes to the beauty in our relationships and in ourselves.
I've had the great fortune to be able to spend a fair amount of time traveling, and am always amazed by the beauty in the world around me-- I try to capture a bit of it wherever I go. While traveling the studio is always with me- many items in the studio were collected from afar: a vintage top hat and laces from Paris, as well as beautiful silks from China.

I've always been incredibly curious. I love learning, getting to know new people and discovering something new! It's my curiosity about people that makes for fun and engaging photo sessions- and my curiosity of learning that continues pushing me to try new styles in photography.
At the heart of it all is my own family; I am married to an amazing man and have three great kids. As a mom, I want desperately for my own kids to feel connected to their past, as well as for us all to cherish the moments we are living right now. I take pictures of my own family, but also schedule an annual family photo shoot for that specific reason. Looking for advice on how to capture your own family? Check out the studio's blog for ideas!
I love good food & wine... and the experiences that generally go with them (family & friends, beautiful locations, etc.). In fact, whenever I describe my work to people, I almost always correlate it back food. :) Thankfully I occasionally have the opportunity to combine my love of food & photography, working with restaurants and markets in the region!
It's most important to me that I capture moments my clients will treasure forever, but I have also been honored to receive awards for my work, and had the opportunity to see my photographs appear in numerous publications, including: The New York Times, NationalGeographic.com, CNN.com, MSN.com, Forbes.com, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, & more.
I believe in breaking the script. I believe that beauty begins the moment we decide to be ourselves (to quote Coco Chanel). I believe in keeping your heels, head & standards high... and I believe photographs are the best way to connect us to our past, to our present and to the world around us.
